During early childhood (ages 3–6), the frontal lobes grow rapidly. Recalling our discussion of the 4 lobes of the brain earlier in this book, the frontal lobes are associated with planning, reasoning, memory, and impulse control.
Not all of our emotions come from the old parts of our brain; we also interpret our experiences to create a more complex array of emotional experiences. The negative is that studied research suggests that being around someone who's stressed/depressed/ill can increase your own stress levels. Negative contagious emotions, like sadness, fear, anger or stress can be damaging to your own overall health/mental state.

Sit-ups are the muscle strengthening activity. Running and jumping are both cardio, and stretching just warms up the muscles.
