. x2<span> - 25: </span>solution . 16x4 - 100<span> 50x</span>2<span> - 72  </span> . x2 - 25

first we check that the binomial is a difference of squares.
x2 is a perfect square, and so is 25, so yes we have a difference of squares.
the square root of x2 is x, and the square root of 25 is 5
so our answer is (x - 5)(x + 5)

16x4 - 100

<span>16x4 is a perfect square, as is 100, so we do have a difference of squares
Here we must first factor out the common factor, if we do not our answer will not be completely factored.
Our common factor is 4, giving us 4(4x4 - 25)
the square root of 4x4 is 2x2, the square root of 25 is 5.
so our answer is 4(2x2 - 5)(2x2 + 5)50x2 - 72<span>Here neither 50x2 nor 72 are perfect squares, but we must first take out the common factor
the common factor is 2, giving us 2(25x2 - 36)
Now both 25x2 and 36 are perfect squares so we have a difference of squares.
The square root of 25x2 is 5x and the square root of 36 is 6.
so our answer is 2(5x - 6)(5x + 6)

HI PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY CALCULUS 1 HW? I AM REALLY STUCK. I need help with parts d,e,g.
asambeis [7]

(d) The particle moves in the positive direction when its velocity has a positive sign. You know the particle is at rest when t=0 and t=3, and because the velocity function is continuous, you need only check the sign of v(t) for values on the intervals (0, 3) and (3, 6).

We have, for instance v(1)\approx-0.91 and v(4)\approx0.91>0, which means the particle is moving the positive direction for 3, or the interval (3, 6).

(e) The total distance traveled is obtained by integrating the absolute value of the velocity function over the given interval:

\displaystyle\int_0^6|v(t)|\,\mathrm dt=\int_0^3-v(t)\,\mathrm dt+\int_3^6v(t)\,\mathrm dt

which follows from the definition of absolute value. In particular, if x is negative, then |x|=-x.

The total distance traveled is then 4 ft.

(g) Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity, so a(t) is the derivative of v(t):

a(t)=v'(t)=-\dfrac{\pi^2}9\cos\left(\dfrac{\pi t}3\right)

Compute the acceleration at t=4 seconds:

a(t)=\dfrac{\pi^2}{18}\dfrac{\rm ft}{\mathrm s^2}

(In case you need to know, for part (i), the particle is speeding up when the acceleration is positive. So this is done the same way as part (d).)

What is the measure of angle A, in degrees, in the figure shown?
Serggg [28]

Answer:

12.7 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

there are 180 degrees in a straight line, and since the angle opposite a is 167.3, we subtract that from 180 and we get 12.7
