My answer would be 22% error.

94 - 120 divided by 120 = -0.021666667.
Now multiply that answer by 100.
-0.021666667 times 100 = -21.6666667%
So it would be 22% error.

How many quarts of pure antifreeze must be added to 8 quarts of a 20% antifreeze solution to obtain a 30% antifreeze solution?
OLga [1]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  1.1 quarts

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the amount to be added, in quarts. Then the amount of anti-freeze in the resulting solution is ...

  0.20(8) + 1.00(x) = 0.30(8 +x)

  0.70x = 0.10(8) . . . . . . subtract 0.20(8)+0.30(x)

  x = 8/7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . divide by the coefficient of x

  x ≈ 1.142857 ≈ 1.1

About 1.1 quarts of pure antifreeze must be added.

José stood on a 4 foot high still, then jumped into a 1 foot deep hole. Which applies to his action
mina [271]

I'm going to assume that you are asking how deep he jumped. He jumped from 4 feet high into a 1 foot deep hole, so, we need to add.

4 + 1 = 5

Therefore, Jose jumped a total of 5 feet.

Best of Luck!
