Explanation:

The sea horse is a higher organism and is composed of eukaryotic cells. Eukaryotic cells have mitochondria in which most energy production occurs through aerobic respiration (Krebs cycle). The sea horse gets it oxygen from the seawater that has dissolved gases (oxygen included). The gills of the sea horse are analogous to lungs in land animals. Mitochondria produces 34 ATPs as opposed to anaerobic respiration that occurs in the cell cytoplasm that generated a net of 2 ATPs. These ATPs power the mentioned cellular activities of the cells of the sea horse.
