Which equation can be used to solve for b? Triangle A B C is shown. Angle B C A is a right angle and angle C A B is 30 degrees.
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer: We should use the correct formula for tan α  (which is opposite

leg over adjacent leg)   tan α = 5/b

Step-by-step explanation:

See attached file

We must use the for equation of tan α = BC/AC

tan α = BC/ b              tan α = 5/b      tan 30⁰  = 1/√3

b = 5/√3    ⇒ b = 5/1.7320

b = 2.8868  cm

Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

Line y = −x + 4 intersects the line y = 3x + 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Please Help! Which description best describes the solution to the following system of equations?

y = −x + 4

y = 3x + 3

Line y = −x + 4 intersects the line y = 3x + 3.

This is the response because the solution to a system of two equations is represented by the intersection of the equations of the two lines/curves.

Lines y = −x + 4 and y = 3x + 3 intersect the x-axis.

Lines y = −x + 4 and y = 3x + 3 intersect the y-axis.

Line y = −x + 4 intersects the origin.

At a café, the cook uses a recipe that calls for eggs and milk. The amounts of eggs and milk have a proportional relationship.
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

Eggs    2               3              4

Milk      6               9             12

Ratio    3/1            3/1           3/1

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at the second column with 2 eggs and 6 cups of milk.

6 cups milk and 2 eggs. The ratio of the number of cups of milk to number of eggs is 6/2, which is the same as 3/1 in the second column. The number of cups of milk is always 3 times the number of eggs.

If you know the number of eggs, multiply by 3 to get the number of cups of milk. 3 * 3 = 9 in the third column.

If you know the number of cups of milk, divide by 3 to get the number of eggs. 12/3 = 4 in the fourth column.

Eggs    2               3              4

Milk      6               9             12

Ratio    3/1            3/1           3/1
