On the day you retire you have $1,000,000 saved. You expect to live another 25 years during which time you expect to earn 6.19%

on your savings while inflation averages 2.5% annually. Assume you want to spend the same amount each year in real terms and die on the day you spend your last dime. What real amount will you be able to spend each year? $61,334.36

Answer:

OUR ANSWER IS $61,334.36

Step-by-step explanation:

The real rate of return = 6.19% - 2.5% = 3.69%

We assume the annual withdrawal is P and the same will be withdrawn at the end of each year, so that the present value of the regular annuity will be $1,000,000

Total tenure = 25 Years

PV = 1 × [(1-(1 + r)⁻ⁿ] /r = P × [1 +(1.0369)⁻²⁵] /0.0369 =P× 16.147

But as per the condition, PV = $1,000,000

So P =$1000,000 /16.147 =$61,334.36

This question is nasty. It sounds like you should be finding area of the figure you see. I'll do that first, although I don't think it's the right answer. (But it might be).

Area Trapezoid = (b1 + b2) * h / 2
b1 = 8
b2 = 12
h = 5
Area Trapezoid = (8 + 12 ) * 5 / 2
Area Trapezoid = 20 * 5/2
Area = 50 square feet.

The problem is that no lumber yard will cut that for you without charging you. The practical answer is 12 * 5  = 60 square feet is what you will have to buy. Then you cut out the triangles for yourself.

When you solve a square root problem, can you just divide it by 2? for example in this picture can you do 25 divided by 2?
user100 [1]

Answer:

No

Step-by-step explanation:

When you square a number, you chose a number and multiplying itself. If you did the square root of 25, you would get 5. However if you divided 25 by 2, you would get 12.5 which is NOT the square root.
