<h3>5 gallons of 50 % alcohol solution is used</h3>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Let "x" is the gallons of 50 % alcohol solution

Then, 10 gallons is 35 % solution

The, 10 + x is the gallons of 40 % solution

Then, according to question,

"x" gallons of 50 % solution is mixed with 10 gallons of 35 % solution to get 10 + x gallons of 40 % solution

Therefore,

50 \% \times x + 35 \% \times 10 = 40 \% \times (10+x)\\\\\frac{50}{100} \times x + \frac{35}{100} \times 10 = \frac{40}{100} \times 10+x\\\\0.5x + 3.5 = 0.4(10+x)\\\\0.5x + 3.5=4+0.4x\\\\0.5x-0.4x = 4-3.5\\\\0.1x = 0.5\\\\Divide\ both\ sides\ by\ 0.1\\\\x = 5

Thus 5 gallons of 50 % alcohol solution is used

The mass of a teapot and 4 cups is 1,280 grams. The mass of the same teapot and 10 cups is 2,720 grams. Each cup has the same ma
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer: 320 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the mas of the teapot be denoted by a

Let the mass of the cups be denoted by c

The question can be turned into an equation which will be:

a + 4c = 1280 ......... equation i

a + 10c = 2720 ........ equation ii

Subtract equation i from ii

6c = 1440

c = 1440/6

c = 240 grams

The mas of the cup is 240 grams

From equation i

a + 4c = 1280

a + 4(240) = 1280

a + 960 = 1280

a = 1280 - 960

a = 320 grams

The mass of the teapot is 320 grams

Last year, Bob's Auto Supplies sold 120 air filters out of a total of 3000 items sold. Bob will show his sales in a circle graph
german
Assuming that bob will use a circle with radius 1 unit,
then the area of the whole circle is A = pi R^2
A = 3.1416(1^2)
A = 3.1416

fraction of auto supplies = 120 / 3000 = 0.04
Area auto supplies = 3.1415(0.04) = 0.1257

formula for of a circular segment
A = 0.5r^2x
where x is the angle in radian
0.1257 = 0.5(1^2)x
x = 0.2513 rad
convert to degrees
x = 0.2513 rad ( 180 /pi)
x = 14.40 degrees

CaHeK987 [17]
Answer:

q = 2/3p - 3

Step by step:

2q+2p = 1+5q
2q - 5q = -2p + 1
-3q = -2p + 1
q = 2/3p - 3
