Answer:

Leo will be= 19+5=24

Step-by-step explanation:

Let (x) y after Leo will be 3 times as old as Amira  after (x)y

Lee=(19+x) y

Amira=(x+3) y

So:

19+x = 3(3+x)

19 + x = 9 + 3x

3x-x=19-9

2x=10

x=10/2

x=5

So leo will be= 19+5=24

but Amira will be =3+5=8

hope this helps

Answer:

x=5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assign the number of years until Leo will be 3 times as old as Amira as x.

Leo = 19, Amira = Leo-16=19-16=3.

In x number of years, Leo+x = (Amira+x)*3, so 19+x=(3+x)*3. We will then try to isolate x. Subtracting both sides by x and then dividing both sides by 3, we get

19/3 = 3 +x - x/3. Subtracting 3 from both sides, we get 10/3=2*x/3. Multiplying both sides by 3 and then dividing both sides by 4, we get x=5 years

1. \frac{n}{4}

2. -2+5n or 5n-2

3. (12s)+150 where s=number of students

4. 3(32)+1(53)=96+53=159 per hour, so 159h

9. √105 is irrational, -4 is an integer, 4/3 is a rational number, order is -4,3/4, √105

10. 3²=9, 4²=16, so between 3 and 4, but closer to 4, so √14≈4

11. that is the associative property, it deals with moving parentahees around

12. 2(6.25)+1(5.50)+2(2.75)=2(6.25+2.75)+1(5.50)=2(9)+5.5=18+5.5=23.5

13. yes, because they are both 2 less than 3 times of a number

14. maybe 18 times 3, so (4²+2) times 3=54

3xy+x=y-6 how do I solve for y in this?
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

x=y-6/3y+1

Step-by-step explanation:

3xy+x=y−6

Step 1: Factor out variable x.

x(3y+1)=y−6

Step 2: Divide both sides by 3y+1.

x(3y+1)

3y+1

=

y−6

3y+1
