Colonies had one purpose: to generate revenue for the mother country.  In other words, European nations could secure raw materials cheaply and sell finished goods to other European nations and to their colonies at a higher price.

Initially, the colonists accepted these taxes because they were lightly enforced by the government. These taxes were also light themselves, and were not a harsh payment to make for imports. When the British government did enforce these light duties and eventually added more direct taxes, the colonists feared that by accepting these, they would lose their property and political rights to the British. In the end, the colonists opposed all taxes imposed on them by the government.

Here are the answers for all three

The southern colonies were very moist and warm so growing plants was easy. They grew tobacco, indigo, and other plants of that sort.

The middle colonies prduced so much grain that the people started calling them the breadbasket colonies. So things like corn wheat and rye we ground in and abundancy.

The new england colonies was good for fruit and vegetables such as beans squash peas okra tomatoes potatoes and peanuts.
