Answer:

The least number of questions a student can answer correctly is 32

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x -----> the number of questions answered correctly

y ----> the  total number of questions on a test

ratio=\frac{x}{y}

we know that

For a student to earn and A or B on a test, the ratio  must be greater than or equal to 0.8

so

\frac{x}{y} \geq 0.8

For y=40 questions

Find the value of x

substitute

\frac{x}{40} \geq 0.8

solve for x

Multiply both sides by 40

x \geq 0.8(40)

x \geq 32

so

The least number of questions a student can answer correctly is 32

<u><em>Verify the ratio</em></u>

For x=32, y=40

\frac{32}{40}=0.8

Compare

0.8 \geq 0.8 ----> is ok

Part C
BabaBlast [244]

Answer:

The expression from part B is = (1 • 2) • (106 • 10-8).

Multiply the first factors.

1 • 2 = 2

Multiply the powers of 10 using this property of exponents: anam = an + m.

106 • 10-8 = 106 + (-8) = 10-2

The expression is 2 × 10-2.

Two complex numbers are given byz1= 3 +j4 andz2= 2 +j3. Determine in both polar andCartesian forms
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

Cartesian

z₁= 3 +4*j

z₂= 2 +3*j

Polar

z₁=5 * e^ (0.927*j)

z₁=√13 * e^ (0.982*j)

Step-by-step explanation:

for the complex numbers z the cartesian form of is

z= x + y*j

then

1) z₁= 3 +4*j (cartesian form)

2) z₂= 2 +3*j (cartesian form)

the polar form is

z= r* e^jθ

where

r= √(x²+y²) → r₁ = √(3²+4²) = 5 ,  r₂ = √(2²+3²) = √13

and

θ = tan⁻¹ (y/x)  → θ₁  = tan⁻¹ (4/3)= 0.927 rad , θ₂  = tan⁻¹ (3/2)= 0.982 rad

then

z₁=5 * e^ (0.927*j)

z₁=√13 * e^ (0.982*j)

A sold sphere has volume 42pie. Find the radius of the sphere
Over [174]

Answer:

The Radius of sphere is 3.15 unit

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as,

Volume of Sphere = 42 \pi    unit³

From the Volume of Sphere = \frac{4}{3} \pi r³

Where r is the radius of Sphere

So , 42 \pi  = \frac{4}{3} \pi r³

Or,  42  = \frac{4}{3} r³

Or ,  r³ = (\frac{42 \times 3}{4})

Or,   r³ = 31.5

Or, Radius = \sqrt[3]{31.5} = 3.15 unit

Hence the Radius of sphere is 3.15 unit   Answer
