Aleks [24]
Number of children from an after school that went to the martinee = 40
Percentage of children from an after school that went to the martinee = 25%
Let us assume the number of children in the club = x
Then
25% * x = 40
(25x/100) = 40
x/4 = 40
x = 40 * 4
   = 160
So the total number of children in the club is 160. I hope the procedure is clear enough for you to understand. you can always use this method for solving similar problems without requiring any help from outside.

7 2/3= 1/5 x +2/3 -1/5x
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]
Immediately, you can get rid of the 1/5x and -1/5x because they would cancel each other out which leaves you with:

7 \frac{2}{3}  =   \frac{2}{3}

From there you can subtract 2/3 from each side and get 7.

I still believe something is wrong with the equation since it still doesnt, make sense but since you swear that is the correct equation...

HELPPP. this is about circle theorems. someone help asap :(
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

Look below.

Step-by-step explanation:

One property of a cyclic quadrilateral is that the opposite angles are supplementary. Angles ABC and ADC are opposite; therefore, supplementary. We know that angle x is supplementary to angle ABC because they are on the same line. We know that angle y is supplementary to angle ADC because they are on the same line.

ABC + ADC= 180 degrees

ABC + x= 180 degrees

ABC + ADC = ABC + x

- ABC           -ABC

ADC= x

ADC+ y= 180 degrees

ADC + ABC= 180 degrees

ADC+y= ADC+ABC

-ADC    -ADC

y=ABC

ABC=x     ADC=y

ABC + ADC= 180

Property of substitution:

x+y=180
