padilas [110]
I believe the answer is about 78.81% because you subtract 25 from 118. Then that would be 93. 118 is equal to the 100% and 118 divide by 1.18 equals 100. Divide 93 from 1.18 gives you the answer

A cooler has 12 apple juices and 15 grape juices. 9 of the apple juices are sugar free and 5 of the grape juices are sugar free.
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

<em>The probability that it is grape juice, given that the juice is not sugar free is </em><em>0.769 or 76.9%</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

P(\text{Grape }|\text{ Not sugar free})=\dfrac{P(\text{Grape }\cap \text{ Not sugar free})}{P(\text{Not sugar free})}

A cooler has 12 apple juices and 15 grape juices. So total 27 juices are there.

Out of 12 apple juices, 9 of the apple juices are sugar free, so 3 are not sugar free.

Out of 15 grape juices, 5 of the grape juices are sugar free, so 10 are not sugar free. So,

P(\text{Grape }\cap \text{ Not sugar free})=\dfrac{10}{27}

P(\text{Not sugar free})=\dfrac{10+3}{27}=\dfrac{13}{27}

Putting the values,

P(\text{Grape }|\text{ Not sugar free})=\dfrac{P(\text{Grape }\cap \text{ Not sugar free})}{P(\text{Not sugar free})}=\dfrac{\frac{10}{27}}{\frac{13}{27}}=\dfrac{10}{13}=0.769

To rent a certain meeting room, a college charges a reservation fee of $ 37 and an additional fee of $ 9.70 per hour. The math c
Svetach [21]
So your equation would be 37 + 9.70x

114 - 37 would get you 77 dollars. Next, you have to find out how many times 9.70 goes into 77. They would be able to rent the room for a total number of 7 hours because that's how many times 9.70 can fit into 77 evenly.

A fire ranger stands atop an observation tower 70 feet above the ground and sees a fire in the distance. She measures the angle
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

103.78\:\mathrm{ft}

Step-by-step explanation:

We can form a right triangle where the distance between the ranger's current position and fire is the hypotenuse of the triangle. In a right triangle, the tangent of an angle is equal to its opposite side divided by the hypotenuse.

Therefore, we have:

\tan 34^{\circ}=\frac{70}{x}, where x is the distance between the base of the tower and the fire.

Solving, we get:

x=\frac{70}{\tan 34^{\circ}}=103.779267796\approx \boxed{103.78\:\mathrm{ft}}
