:00 to 2:00, it dropped 2.6°C, and from 2:00 to 5:00, it decreased by 0.9°C.
What expression shows the temperature in °C at 5:00 p.m.?

A. 1.5 + 0.7 - (-2.6) - (-0.9) B. 0.7 - (-2.6 - 0.9)

C. 1.5 + 0.7 - (-2.6 - 0.9) D. 1.5 + 0.7 + (-2.6) + (-0.9)

Answer: Option 'D' is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

At 8:00 , the temperature was = 1.5°C.

that means Initial temperature = 1.5°C.

From, 8:00 to 11:00 , the temperature increased by = 0.7°C.

since it was increased , so we will use "Positive sign"  to show the increment.

So, It becomes, 1.5^\circ C+0.7^\circ C

Again From 11:00 to 2:00 it dropped by = 2.6°C.

So, we will use "Negative sign " to show the reduction in temperature :

So, it becomes,

1.5^\circ C+0.7^\circ C+(-2.6^\circ C)

From 2:00 to 5:00 , it decreased by = 0.9°C.

again it will represented by negative sign.

So, it becomes,

1.5^\circ C+0.7^\circ C+(-2.6^\circ C)+(0.9^\circ C)=-1.3^\circ C

Hence, Option 'D' is correct.

Write an equation in point-slope form given the two points (2,3) and (3,5)
Natalka [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First find slope using equation: y2-y1/x2-x1

Substitute: 5-3/3-2

Solve: 2/1 = 2           Slope is 2

Now use point-slope form: y-5 = 2(x-3)

You could also do: y-3 = 2(x-2)

Hope this helps
