klasskru [66]

The passage of the Fifteenth Amendment in 1869 prompted the formation of two major suffrage organizations because it granted formerly enslaved men the right to vote, while women were still denied this right.

Option B

Explanation:

The fifteenth amendment was the last to be introduced in the ' reconstruction amendment ' which aimed at prohibiting discrimination against the voting population based on race or on the prior condition of service.

It was enacted in 1869 by Congress and rapidly ratified in 1870 by the three-fourths required of the States. The Republicans controlled southern states, so there were no ways to obstruct the amendment for the expected opposition.

Suffrage was given to male electors paying tax in the 1869 Constitution, and the vote was extended to all males 21 years of age in the 1888 Constitution. Women had the opportunity to vote in the Communist Law of Yugoslavia.

What represents a difference between Amy Lowell’s poem about St. Ursula and artist Vittore Carpaccio’s painting of St. Ursula
natima [27]

A lark is singing as he flies away represents a difference between Amy Lowell’s poem about St. Ursula and artist Vittore Carpaccio’s painting of St. Ursula.

Explanation:

Inspired by the veteran artist Vittore Carpaccio’s painting on St. Ursula Amy Lowell writes a poem on, “The dream of St.Ursula”. This picture just depicts an incident in the life of the saint. In this painting the Saint is found to be sleeping in a small bed chamber where the rays of the morning sun penetrate.

A small angel is seen entering the chamber not disturbing the tranquility of the scene. The poem of Amy Lowell registers the actual happening of the picture. The lark singing alone is the difference found between the poem and the painting.
