adelina 88 [10]
Well, at the 52 B.C. Roman conquering of the Paris basin, it was already an important crossroads between river and road travel (a place where a major north-south route crossed the Seine river across its central island), but it is not certain that the area was the major habitation then (the nearest known major Celtic population centre was in today's Sens). Anyway, the Romans took an interest Paris' island it for its strategic position for a garrison and lightly fortified it, but when it later become a trading centre, Gallo-Roman growth spread to the Left Bank.

Why would Boston and New York be called separate regions
hammer [34]

Answer:

New England is made up of the states that were founded by religious immigrants fleeing persecution of the British crown, initially to Massachusetts. Later on Massachusetts gave birth to the colonies and states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont, at various times and for various reasons, but the bulk of settlers for these areas came out of Massachusetts, and this region has a unique, identifiable cultural heritage.

Does nationalism always unify people? Why or why not? (3 sentences)
jekas [21]

Answer:

Nationalism is positive because it serves as a uniting force. The recent World Cup united each country, where people came together as hopefuls for their team and, ultimately, their country. These fans were united in cheering for their players and equally united in recovering from defeat. This illustrates the resilience of national identity. By having a strong sense of who we are, shame and fright become foreign concepts. We become bold and confident, sometimes overly so.

What were some of the outcomes of pearl harbor attack?
Elza [17]
One outcome of the Pearl Harbor attack was an atrocious destruction of an large portion of our naval ships anchored there, along with the horror of a very large number of our navy's seamen . Another outcome was the realization by American armed forces and navy personnel that we had been lax in awareness and had we  not been too relaxed at the time, this attack by the Japanese may well have been thwarted at the least. Lastly, a major outcome of the Pearl Harbor attack was that America was furious and declared  war - after which America began producing  arms and preparing for battles with all haste.
