How was Athena being the patron of Athens ironic when considering the

History

Answer: Athena is a personification of male aspect within a female. In this respect we should not forget that Athena was a divinity known for her intelligence, capacity to win battles and war using her intellect (her favourite hero was Odysseus, who - contrary to Achilleus, Ajax and many others - used his intellect to win). Athenians identified themselves very much with an intellect.

Explanation: Myth of Athena (especially the way she was born) reveals to us her close connection with patriarchy. She is<em> "fille du papa"</em> (daughter of her father), she was born jumping out of his father´s head (that is a symbol) and with full armour (symbol again). Archetype of Athena is quite visible in females who work in justice, who are able to argue with male in an open and intelligent way and who are able affirm themselves in places/work places where males are traditionally dominant. Margaret Theatcher was Athena (in fact she was fathering UK at that time).

Is economic equity an important goal for our government? If so, why? If not, why not?
aliina [53]

Answer: See explanation

Explanation:

Economic equity simply Mena's fairness. It is the function of every government to promote economic equity in the society.

This is a vital goal for the government as everyone should be treated equally and fairly as no one is above the other in the society.

Some of the ways that the government can promote economic equity is provision of infrastructural facilities for everyone in the society and not only the people in the urban areas. Those in rural areas shouldn't be left out.

Government can also redistribute income so that there can be a reduction between the gap that exists between the rich and those that are not financially bouyant. This can be done through taxation.

Economic equity is vital as it helps in the improvement of the standard of living of the people and the growth and development of a country.
