A tragedy written as a play. It is about political ambition. It tells the story of a Scottish General and his rise to power, his complicated relationships and use of the account. The prophecy speaks what Macbeth wants to hear so he does unthinkable acts. All of these become his undoing.

IRISSAK [1]
She's applying emphasis onto the word. Christie wants the word dramatic to really be out there. Christie is implying that __ is very dramatic. This repetition makes the word stick in our heads as the main focus.

Stranded on a traffic island, speeding buses and trucks held the two pedestrians hostage.
Blababa [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

Stranded on a traffic island,

what comes next has to be about the 2 "hostages". It can't be about the traffic that is holding them hostage. If this sentence was handed to any English teacher, they would immediate get their red pens out and write "This is a misplaced participial phrase"

It's sort of like the example my English  gave us when I was in high school. She said, "Running up a tree, I saw a squirrel."  Then she asked us to write what thought was running up the tree. She got some pretty interesting answers.

What makes a thing what it is? Is the way it is seen/perceived by others or is it something else?
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:

What makes anything unique is the way others see/perceive it. These blind men, blind peasants, blind monks, or blind sages symbolize "those in the dark," or individuals who lack a complete vision or understanding of a "thing." Each guy in these tales feels a different aspect of the elephant, but just that one part, such as the tail or the trunk.

The narrative of the Six Blind Men and the Elephant contradicts this theory since the lesson of the story is that all faiths are striving toward the same objective, even though they disagree with each other on many levels. Major Religions' Disagreements.
