2. Which kind of model do you think best represents the profit for each business? Explain.

3. Find a function that models the profit you can expect, based on your projections, for each business. You can round your values to the nearest thousandth, as needed.

4. Look at the functions that describe the profits of each business. Why do you think the a-value of the lawn care business is negative while the a-values of the dog walking and housesitting businesses are positive?

A plumber charges $50 for a service call plus $80 per hour. If she spends no longer than 8 hours a day at any one site, find a l
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

C(t)=80t+50, \text{ for }t\leq 8.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let C represent total daily charges in dollars and t represent time in hours.

We have been given that a plumber charges $50 for a service call plus $80 per hour.

The amount charged for t hours would be 80t.

The total amount charged for t hours would be C(t)=80t+50.

We are also told that plumber spends no longer than 8 hours a day at any one site, this means that time t have a restriction as:

t\leq 8

Therefore, our required cost function would be C(t)=80t+50, \text{ for }t\leq 8.

in abc c is a right angle find the remaining sides and angles round your awners to the nearest tenth a=3 c=19
MakcuM [25]
To find the answer, use pythagorean theorum (a^2 + b^2 = c^2)
We'll square a and c, and then subtract a from c.
9 + b^2 = 361
361 - 9 = 352
The square root of 352 is 18.7
18.7 should be the correct answer.

True or False ,. . The slope of a line will depend on which of the two points you choose to call (x1, y1) and which you choose t
Sophie [7]
False

lets say u have 2 sets of points (1,2) , (3,4)
now lets say (1,2) is (x1,y1) and (3,4) is (x2,y2)
slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
slope = (4-2) / (3-1) = 2/2 = 1

now, lets say (1,2) is (x2,y2) and (3,4) is (x1,y1)
slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
slope = (2 - 4) / (1 - 3) = -2/-2 = 1

in conclusion, the naming of the points will not effect the slope
