Let, the number of minutes in running = t

Inequality would be: 8.5t ≥ 28 + 2.9t
Subtract 2.9t from both sides,

8.5t - 2.9t ≥ 28 + 2.9t - 2.9t
5.6t ≥ 28

Now, divide by 5.6
5.6t/5.6 ≥ 28/5.6
t ≥ 5

In short, Your Answer would be at-least 5 minutes

Hope this helps!

What is the equation of tha line , in general form, that passes through the point (1,1) and has a y-intercept of 2
saul85 [17]

The x-value at the y-intercept is 0. The y-value there is 2. As the x-value increases by 1 unit to x=1, the y-value decreases by 1 unit to y=1. Thus, the slope is -1, and the slope-intercept form of the equation can be written as

... y = -x + 2

Subtracting the right side puts the equation into general form.

... x + y - 2 = 0

Answer:

10 units

Step-by-step explanation:

In this equation the parenthesis act as a multiplier, so you take w(2w + 2) = 40.

the variable w represents the number 1, so you multiply the numbers within the parenthesis.

w x 2w = 2w

w x 2 = 2w

so now you have 2w + 2w = 40

add the w's for 4w = 40

Now you need to get rid of the number next to the W.

divide the four from the W and divide the 40 as well

4w/4= w

40/4 = 10

W=10
