Let the original price be x . And the stores are offereing 20% discount. It means , we need to pay only 80 percent.

And it is given that the discount prices is 16.80. That is

0.8x = 16.80

Now we need to get rid of 0.8.

And for that, we divide both sides by0.8,

x =21

So the original price is $21 .

Hello!

So if the discount is 20%, then 80% of the original price is left as the discounted price. (already stated in question)

So what you want to do, is take 80%, or 4/5, and take x as well. Set x equal to the original store price, and as we'll be taking 20% off, it'll become 4/5x, or 80% of x. Set 4/5x equal to 16.8.

Now, to solve, just divide both sides by 4/5 to isolate the x.
4/5x / (4/5) = 16.8 / (4/5)
I would set the divided by 4/5 part on the right hand side of the equation into multiplied by 5/4, as any division by a fraction can be set to multiplying by that fraction's reciprocal.

x = 16.8 • 5/4

Cancel out the denominator of 5/4 by dividing 16.8 by 4:
x = 4.2 • 5

Now multiply:

x = 21

You get your answer, of the original price being $21.

A=4,b=-2,C=5 d=-6 , e =-1 5 ed-3cb +4ba-2ea
Alecsey [184]

Answer:

208

Step-by-step explanation:

{ed}-{3cb}+{4ba}-{2ea} = {(-15)*(-6)} - {3*5*(-2)} + {4*(-2)*4} - {2*(-15)*4}

={90} - {15*(-2)} + {16*(-2)} - {8*(-15)}

= {90} - {-30} + {-32} - {-120}

= 90 (--)30 (+-) 32 (--) 120

= 90 + 30 - 32 + 120

= 120 - 32 + 120

= 88 + 120

= 208

A student expressed the sum of 2 whole numbers as 5 times (8+3).What are the 2 whole numbers?
Marta_Voda [28]

Well if the two numbers are equal to 5x(8+3).

Lets say that these two numbers are X and Y,

So that would be X + Y = 5(8+3)

which means X + Y = 55

You could write that as a fuctions Y = 55 - X

Now by using the graph you get and the X values of [0,55] ( This means every value from 0 to 55 ), you will get a X and Y value that if you added up together will give you the value of 8(5+33)

An examples for the answers would be

(0,55) (1,54) (2,53) (3,52) (4,51) (5,50) (6,49) ... it goes on until x reaches 55.
