During an interview about explorers like Christopher Columbus, your subject announces that he still believes the earth is flat.

You disagree. Which of the following is the best way to handle this situation? Select one: a. Simply note that he has an interesting view and ask him to elaborate. b. Be prepared with research about Columbus' voyages to prove the interviewee wrong. c. Turn on the charm, and explain why that belief is outdated. Avoid sounding argumentative, but be as convincing as you can. d. Say nothing. You do not want to argue with your subject, but you don't want to accept such a silly view. DO NOT include this kind of comment in your notes or summary.

I disagree because we all know that the earth isn't flat and way back when when this happend they didn't had all of the tecnolgy that we have today so then how did he think that the earth was flat even though after the one persons presentation of the earth that he was still questioning the person that was giving the presentation.

Question 1
Compared with the North, the South had more
Zolol [24]

Answer:

 • Large farms
 • Experienced military leaders
 • Miles of coastline

Explanation:

You included no options so I listed the three main areas the South had an advantage over the North at the time of the Civil war.

The South was mostly a plantation based economy which meant that they had large farms and was why they felt they needed so many enslaved people.

They also had the advantage of having more experienced military leaders such as General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson and General Robert Edward Lee. Their presence ensured that the Confederate army was able to withstand a better armed and supplied Union army for years.

The South also had the advantage of miles of coastline that enabled them to for a time, withstand the Union blockade of her ports that were imposed as soon as the Civil war broke out.

What were the hired
soldiers Britain used to fight
for them against the
Patriots called?
omeli [17]

It depends on where they come from. However, I am sure you are talking about the hired German soldiers, which were known as Hessians. Hessians were well-trained, highly-experienced German soldiers that were hired to fight against the colonists during the American War of Independence.
