I have a project, im gonna have to teach someone how M and B in the equation y=mx+b affect the equation of the line.
Luba_88 [7]
Y = mix + b would be slope intercept for. your y intercept would be B which is the line that crosses that y intercept your Mx would be a fraction for point slope form like if your slope would be 1 over 2 you would fo up and left twice because of rise over run

the slope of a line passing through h (-2, 5) is -3/4. Which ordered pair represents a point on this line?
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate the slope of the given points with the point (- 2,  5 )

If the slope is - \frac{3}{4} then the point is on the line

Calculate slope m using the slope formula

m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 2, 5) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (6, - 1)

m = \frac{-1-5}{6+2} = \frac{-6}{8} = - \frac{3}{4} ← point (6, - 1) is on the line

Repeat with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 2, 5 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (2, 8)

m = \frac{8-5}{2+2} = \frac{3}{4} ← point (2, 8) is not on the line

Repeat with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 2, 5) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 5, 1)

m = \frac{1-5}{-5+2} = \frac{-4}{-3} = \frac{4}{3} ← point (- 5, 1) is not on the line

Repeat with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 2, 5) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (1, 1)

m = \frac{1-5}{1+2} = - \frac{4}{3} ← point (1, 1) is not on the line

Thus the point on the line is (6, - 1 ) → A

With these numbers I have to find the median. Please help mee!!
Aloiza [94]
Write them in order from least to greatest,
11.9, 12.0, 12.3, 12.4, 12.4, 12.5, 12.7,12.8, 12.9, 13.1, 13.2, 13.8
then eliminate one from each side until you find the middle one,
12.5, 12.7
you have two middle, so you find the middle number in between them.

12.6 is the median.

riadik2000 [5.3K]
-14x-14 = 196 then subtract -6 from 196 because they'll cancel each other out. the answer is 190.
