Answer:

D) begins as a cell, comes from an organ, is part of a system

Explanation:

Here is how pollen is formed, in simpler words, it comes from sporogenic tissue, formed inside the male organ called the anther, and is part of the male reproductive system.

The formation of a pollen grain begins inside the male part of a flower called the anther, within specific tissue called sporogenic tissue. Here, the developing pollen receives nutrition and a coat of cellulose, which is a very strong plant protein. First, large pollen mother cells are produced, which eventually break into individual pollen grains through cell division. At this point, the pollen grain gets its outer coat, called the exine, which is made from another tough plant protein. The exine protects the delicate genetic material inside the pollen grain from water loss, and damage caused by UV radiation and other environmental causes. In some plants, the pollen grain also gets a sticky outer layer to help it adhere to the female part of another plant, called the stigma. The final step involves another cell division, which creates two cells within one pollen grain. After that, the pollen grains move to a drying-out phase, after which they take on their dusty appearance and are ready to go out into the world and fertilize ovules.

Of all the animals in the animal kingdom which one(s) would have the best chance for survival in mountains?
Fittoniya [83]

Answer & explanation:

Mountains are large formations of land at high altitudes, where conditions are often difficult. For example, cold weather and food shortages.

In the highest areas of the mountains, animals such as vultures, eagles, hawks and other birds of prey usually prevail.

In addition, it is common for the sides of the mountains to be covered with forests. In these areas it is possible to observe the predominance of animals such as moose, goats, sheep, skunks, llamas and lynx. This group has good climbing skills and manages to stay in the side of the mountains and in some high areas (not as high as the previous group).

Meanwhile, in the lower parts of the mountains, where the forest is denser, it is possible to observe the predominance of snakes, wolves, marmots, foxes, etc.

An outbreak of food poisoning occurs at a family picnic after the growth of Staphylococcus aureus in unrefrigerated potato salad
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

Clusters of cocci (i.e., grape-like cocci)

Explanation:

Cocci (in singular coccus) are spherical-shaped bacteria, while bacilli and spirilli are rod-shaped and spiral-shaped bacteria, respectively (in general, bacteria can be divided into these three categories by shape). Staphylococcus aureus forms irregular clusters of cocci (i.e., grape-like cocci) when viewed through a microscope. Some Gram-positive cocci include, for example, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae. These species are well known to be bacterial pathogens capable of infecting humans.
