Part 1)

A foot is 12 inches so 5 feet is 60 inches.

First, you have to divide 216 by 18.(miles)

216/18=12

Next, since 5 feet is 60 inches, multiply the quotient by 60.(inches)

12*60=720

The two cities are 720 inches apart on the map.

Part 2)

The ratio to cups of flour to cups of sugar is 3:4

First, divide 7.5 by 3.(flour)

7.5/3=2.5

Next, multiply the quotient by 4.(sugar)

2.5*4=10

You need 10 cups of sugar for the recipe if 7.5 cups of flour is used.

I hope this helps because I spent a lot of time on it c:

George traveled 300 miles in 8 hours. How far could he travel in 4 hours if he traveled at the same rate?
Amiraneli [1.4K]
Divide 300 by 8 to find the unit rate
300/8= 37.5

He travels 37.5 miles per hour

If he travels 37.5 miles per hour, to find the amount in 4 hours we would do 37.5 times 4

37.5×4=150

In 4 hours he travels 150 miles

Which statements must be true about the image of ΔMNP after a reflection across Line E G? Select three options. The image will b
masya89 [10]

Answer:

The image will be congruent to ΔMNP.

Line EG will be perpendicular to the line segments connecting the corresponding vertices.

The line segments connecting corresponding vertices will all be parallel to each other.

Step-by-step explanation:

The reflected image will be the mirror image of ΔMNP, so it will be congruent.  The lines connecting each vertex to the corresponding vertex will be parallel, and all three lines are perpendicular to EG.

The perimeter of a rectangular swimming pool is 446 centimeters. The width of the pool is 7 centimeters less than the length of
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

length = 115 cm

width = 108 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of a rectangular swimming pool is 446 centimeters

LEt L be the length of the pool

The width of the pool is 7 centimeters less than the length of the pool.

width = length - 7

W= L-7

Given perimeter = 446

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length)+2(width)

446 = 2(L) + 2(W)                    we know W = L-7

446 = 2(L) + 2(L-7)

446 = 2L + 2L - 14

Add 14 on both sides

460 = 4L

divide by 4 on both sides

L= 115

Length L= 115

Width W = L - 7 = 115 - 7= 108
