How do I do this I'm confused how to get started?

Cube root of (2x + 3) = 5
I think the best thing to do is to cube both sides
2x + 3 = 125
2x = 122
x = 61

We can check that:
cube root of (2x + 3) = 5
cube root of (2*61 + 3) = 5
cube root of (122 + 3) = 5
and the cube root of 125 does equal 5
so x = 61
