Can someone help us: Jaun had 3/4 of a pizza left. His father ate a quarter of the leftover pizza. How much of the pizza did Jua

n's father eat? (My son has gotten 3/16 by multiplying but this doesn't seem likely? I feel like he doesn't have enough info to solve.)

When you need to solve this problem, you will 1st have to see how many quarters are in 3/4, so there is 3. Then you will subtract a quarter which will leave you with 2. So, there is 2/4 or 1/2 of a pizza left after Juan's father ate a quarter. (Hint: there is no need to multiply, just subtract!). (p.s. There is enough info to solve!)

Okay so this is confusing its asking how much he ate of the left over pizza so 3/4 is 75% and he ate a quarter which is 25%  meaning he ate 25% of the left over pizza?

Car rentals involve a $130 flat fee and an additional cost of $31.67 a day. what is the maximum number of days you can rent a ca
Vladimir79 [104]
Represent the number of days by x. With this representation, the variable cost of the rental is 31.67x. The total cost is the sum of the fixed and variable costs. This value should not be more than $500. The equation below shows the relationship.
                                          130 + 31.67x ≤ 500

Solving for x gives x ≤ 11.68
Thus, the maximum number of days to rent the car is only 11 days.

What is the length of the diagonal for the given rectangular prism to the nearest whole unit?
kolbaska11 [484]
Given:
length = 6
width = 5
height = 9

Diagonal of a rectangular prism = √(l² + w² + h²)
d = √ 6² + 5² + 9²
d = √ 36 + 25 + 81
d = √ 142
d = 11.916  ROUNDED TO NEAREST WHOLE UNIT D. 12 CM.

Given:
Pyramid base = 12 cm
height = 8 cm

We can use the Pythagorean theorem to look for the slant height because it is the hypotenuse of a right triangle.

a² + b² = c²

a is the height ; b is the base ; c is the slant height.
b = 1/2 of the pyramid base.
b = 12/2 = 6 cm

8² + 6² = c²
64 + 36 = c²
100 = c²
√100 = √c²
10 = c  Answer is letted D. 10 cm.

URGENT AND 98 POINTS, PLEASE EXPLAIN AND ANSWER
sp2606 [1]

Answer:

The correct answer is C

Step-by-step explanation:

Just because we have correlation in a relationship does not mean that we have causation. Therefore, we can not safely say that A or B are true.

Also, it is clearly not D as we have a strong correlation between the two and cannot safely assume that they have nothing to do with one another.
