(T - 25) = M = J

T + M + J = 275

Plug in for M and J

T + (T - 25) + (T - 25) = 275

3T - 50 = 275

3T = 325

T = 108.33 (about)

Todd pays $108.33. Matt and Jeff pay $25 less than him.

108.33 - 25 = 88.33

Todd : $108.33
Matt : $88.33
Jeff : $88.33

Len [333]
First, distribute the 2 on the right side of the equation so you get 4a-26. Then add 26 to both sides so you have 7a+21 =4a. Subtract 7a and get 21 = -3a. Divide by -3 and your final answer is -7.
