How was America able to over come it's lack of resources and soldiers?

When the Continental army was able to get supplies, they had to be shipped great ... American soldiers also took supplies from the British army. .... The militia, made up of male citizens over sixteen years of age, was the defense force of each state. .... the North Carolina militia generally controlled the state and its resources.

America overcame these problems by borrowing resources from other countries and by transporting soldiers from other countries to join America.
