Lets hope i'm right.

Triangle formula: 1 / 2 b x h

y:

Half one of them. Lets do 4 since 5 would result in a decimal.

(4) = 2 x 5 = 10.

y (10) + 1 = 11

x:

Half one.

(2) = 1 x 3 = 3

Answers:

y = 11

x = 3

Hope this helps! Wait for another answer to make sure i'm right. ;) ~Pooch ♥

Help me with this math problem, I need someone to guide me through it I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do first
natita [175]

Answer:

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

The parent function is x^2 which is a parabola at vertex (0,0)

g(x) = ( x+3) ^2

y = f(x + C) C > 0 moves it left

So the parabola is shifted to the left 3 units

h(x) = -( x+3) ^2

y = −f(x)

Reflects it about x-axis

Means flip it about the x axis

The gasoline gauge read 1/4 full. When 12 gallons were added to the tank the gauge read 3/4 full. How many more gallons to fill
DedPeter [7]
Initially, 1/4 of the tank was filled.

After adding 12 gallons, it was 3/4 full.

Increase in fuel filled portion =
\frac{3}{4}  -  \frac{1}{4}  =  \frac{3 - 1}{4}  =  \frac{2}{4}  \\

So 2/4 of the tank = 12 gallons

1/4 of tank = 12 ÷ 2 = 6 gallons

4/4 of tank = 6×4 = 24 gallons
____________________

Portion remaining to be filled =

1 -  \frac{3}{4}  =  \frac{4 - 3}{4}  =  \frac{1}{4}  \\

Fuel needed = 1/4 × 24 = 6 gallons

So you need 6 more gallons to fill the tank
