How many electrons do the elements of the most stable group have in their outer energy levels?

Chemistry

If they are the most stable, it must mean they have a full outer shell. the first shell can only hold 2 so if it only has 2 electrons then it is pretty stable. all other shells after that can hold 8 so if it has 10,18,26,34,42 and etc electrons, it will be stable as well.

hope this helps!

The most stable group is the Noble Gases, which is group 8. They need 8 valence electrons to be stable. The electrons are determined by their group number.

While in Europe, if you drive 125 km per day, how much money would you spend on gas in one week if gas costs 1.10 euros per lite
LenKa [72]

You would spend $71.32 per week on gas.

Step 1. Convert weeks to days

Time = 1 wk × (7 days/1 wk) = 7 days

Step 2. Calculate the distance travelled

Distance = 7days × 125 km/day = 875 km

Step 3. Convert kilometres to miles

Distance = 875 km × (1 mi/1.609 km) = 543.8 mi

Step 4. Calculate the gallons of gas

V = 543.8 mi × (1 gal/40.0 mi) = 13.60 gal

Step 5. Convert gallons to litres

V = 13.60 US gal × (3.785 L/1 US gal) = 51.46 L

Step 6. Calculate the cost of the gas

Cost = 51.46 L × (€1.10/1 L) = €56.60

Step 7. Convert euros to dollars

Cost = €56.60 × ($1.26/€1) = $71.32

Describe the best way Ryan can increase the rate of dissolving of lead (II) chloride in a solution.
pychu [463]
Solubility is the amount of solute that can dissolve in a given solvent at a specified temperature or pressure. Therefore, solubility is affected by pressure and temperature such that increase in temperature increases the rate of solubility of substances. In additional solubility depends on the molecular size of the solute such that when other factors are kept constant then a solute with small particles will dissolve more faster. Therefore, to increase the rate of solubility Ryan may; increase the temperature of water.
