To make t the subject is basically isolating t

S = at + bt
We see on the right side that t is common, so we factor it out.

S = t(a + b)
Divide by (a+b) to isolate t

\frac{S}{a + b} =  \frac{t(a+b)}{(a+b)}
a + b and a + b cancels out
We are left with the answer:
t = \frac{S}{a+b}

S = at + bt \\
t(a+b)=S\\
t=\dfrac{S}{a+b}

The standard formula for the volume of a rectangular pyramid is . If the pyramid is scaled proportionally by a factor of k, its
PolarNik [594]

Answer:

The answer in the procedure

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The volume of a rectangular pyramid is equal to

V=\frac{1}{3}LWH

where

L is the length of the rectangular base

W is the width of the rectangular base

H is the height of the pyramid

If the pyramid is scaled proportionally by a factor of k

then

the new dimensions are

L=kL

W=kW

H=kH

substitute and find the new Volume V'

V'=\frac{1}{3}(kL)(kW)(kH)

V'=\frac{1}{3}(k^{3})LWH

V'=(k^{3})\frac{1}{3}LWH

V'=(k^{3})V

The new volume is equal to the scale factor k elevated to the cube multiplied by the original volume

What algebraic expression must be subtracted from the sum of y2+5y−1
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

2y² -4y +5

Step-by-step explanation:

First you need to find the sum of y²+5y-1 and 3y²-2y+4

(y²+5y-1) + (3y²-2y+4) => y²+3y²+5y-2y-1+4

                                  =4y²+3y+3

Next is to subtract 2y²+7y-2 from the sum calculated above in order to  find the algebraic expression asked in the exercise

4y²+3y+3 -(2y²+7y-2) => 4y²-2y²+3y-7y+3+2

                                   =2y² -4y +5

Therefore, the algebraic expression asked must be 2y² -4y +5
