1. Not reluctant at all. For crying out loud a US Naval base (Pearl Harbor) was destroyed and thousands of US citizens died.

2. Learning of what's going on, can change peoples perspectives.

3. Unemployment went down, the economy was set for war. This united people everywhere. We are the United States after all.

4. Women took up auxiliary roles, took the mens jobs in factories and sometimes served to train others.

5. READ THIS CAREFULLY: WW1? I don't know. Unless you are speaking of WW2, then their experience was terrible. They were discriminated and put into camps.
