You plug in the y= equation into the y in the other equation and solve, once you get x you plug that in and solve for y

for example:
y=4x  and  30=2y+2x
so: 30=2(4x)+2x
30=8x+2x
30=10x
3=x
then, you plug 3 (x) in for x in either of the starting equations:
30=2y+2(3)
30=2y+6
24=2y
12=y
and get your answer:  (3,12)

8-Figures represents eight digits and a 8-figure salary will fall between $10,000,000 – $99,999,999. People who are earning this amount of income are typically multi-millionaires and would be considered quite wealthy.

Setler [38]

Answer:

 The crossover point for Time  h = 6545 \ room \ nights

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The total rooms rented for the year is  z =  50 * 365 = 18250 \ rooms

       Time's  fixed cost is r =  $61,000

     Time's variable  cost is y =$12.5  per room

       Duffy's Maid Service fixed cost is x =$25,000

       Duffy's Maid Service variable cost is  k = $18.00 per room

The cross over point for Time is mathematically represented as

        h = \frac{r - x}{k- y}

substituting values

      h = \frac{61000 - 25000}{ 18 - 12.5}

      h = 6545 \ room \ nights

12-packs of Skwunch apple juice cost $3.00 after a 40% discount. Which equation would allow you to find the original price of th
GaryK [48]

Let x be the original price.

Discount percentage = 40%

Price after discount = $3

So, x - \frac{40}{100} x = 3

\frac{100x-40x}{100} = 3

\frac{60x}{100} = 3

x = 3(\frac{100}{60} )

x=\frac{100}{20}

x = 5

Hence, the equation that would allow us to find the original price is 0.6x = 3.
