The Electoral College is a body of electors established by the United States Constitution, which forms every four years for the sole purpose of electing the president and vice president of the United States.

In my opinion the Electoral college should be abolished. It was created so every state get a say, but that is just not right. When candidates run for President, it would make more sense for MAJORITY of our votes should be able to determine the decision of our election. If we use the Popular vote to determine or Senators, House of Representatives, Governors, and even our Judges, it would make more sense to proceed with the system.

Why Donald Trump was elected, Hillary Clinton had Majority of the Vote, but she still lost, and had particular WAY more votes then President Trump. Therefore, if our vote really matter, then we should be doing it by the popular vote.

But in my opinion the electoral college should be abolished and we should implement the system of the popular vote to choose Presidential Candidates. But the negative effect the Electoral College has is that most votes of American Citizens arent important and even if a president wins the popular vote by a large margin but loses the electoral college votes then the majority voices of the american people arent heard.
