They need 18 more teachers.
Set the problem up as a ratio.
 3           x
----  =  -------
70       14,700

70 x = 44,100
     x = 630

The district already has 612 teachers. So, 630 - 612 = 18 more needed.

There are several information's already given in the question. Let us focus on them to get to the answer.
For every 70 children, the number of teachers required = 3
Then
For every 14700 children, the
number of teachers required = (3 * 14700)/70
                                              = 630
The number of teachers in school now = 612
Number of more teachers required = 618 - 612
                                                        = 6
So 6 more teachers are required in the school.

How many solutions does x²+3x=3 have?
aev [14]

Answer:

2 (real) solutions.

Step-by-step explanation:

A quadratic always has two solutions, whether they are real or complex.

Sometimes the solution is complex, involving complex numbers (2 complex), sometimes they are real and distinct (2 real), and sometimes they are real and coincident (still two real, but they are the same).

In the case of

x^2+3x = 3, or

x² + 3x -3 = 0

we apply the quadratic formula to get

x =  (-3 +/- sqrt(3^2+4(1)(3))/2

to give the two solutions

{(sqrt(21)-3)/2, -(sqrt(21)+3)/2,}

both of which are real.

I REALLY NEED HELP!!! If someone can answer this quickly and correctly I will give them Brainliest. 1. What is the function rule
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

y= -4x + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Because the slope is -4/1 which is the same as 4 and 3 is the y-intercept.

Here's the work;

We can just use the first two coordinates which are (0,3) and (1,-1) to get from the x-value 0 to 1 we add 1. and to get from the y-value 3 to -1 we subtract 4. Therefore the slope is -4 and the y- intercept (when x is zero) is 3. Pop that into slope intercept form to get y=-4x +3

Hope that helps and have a great day!

ale4655 [162]

Answer:

The statement which is true in the choices is the third item in the choices such as "Nina makes 20x dollars at the clothing store each week". It was clearly stated in the given that x represent the total number of hours she worked in a week. This statement made the other items in the choices wrong.

Step-by-step explanation:

I hope this helps you :)
