Which organelles are believed to have originated from free-standing bacteria ingested by ancient eukaryotic cells? Chloroplasts
White raven [17]

The endosymbiotic theory states that the some cellular organelles present inside the Eukaryotic cells were once free-living prokaryotic organisms. The eukaryotic cells ingested these organisms and over time they developed a symbiotic relationship with each other. These organelles include the mitochondria and the chloroplasts. Both these organelles contain their own DNA, and produce energy.

Hence, the answer is 'mitochondria and chloroplasts'.

When blood first reaches the lungs it contains...
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer: I think C (I apologize if not)

Explanation: Oxygen and carbon dioxide travels to and from tiny air sacs in the lungs, through the walls of the capillaries, into the blood. Blood leaves the heart through the pulmonic valve, into the pulmonary artery, and to the lungs.

In the lungs, the blood refills its oxygen supply and gets rid of carbon dioxide. The oxygenated blood returns from the lungs to the left atrium through the pulmonary veins to the heart. The left ventricle then pumps this oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. Blood first enters the heart's right atrium. A muscle contraction forces the blood through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. When the right ventricle contracts, blood is forced through the pulmonary semilunar valve into the pulmonary artery. Then it travels to the lungs.

19. If a scientist needs to use a large dataset to explore how corn grows in different soils, how would this data be classified?
Illusion [34]

ANSWER:

The correct option is B- Qualitative.

EXPLANATION:

When the growth of corn has to be recorded, the quality of the corn grown in different soils needs to be recorded. Qualitative methods are best used to classify quality of anything.

Qualitative data basically is non-numerical data which in the case of corns can be the length of the corn plant, the sweetness of the corn kernel or the hardness or softness of the corn. This data cannot be recorded using numerical values and so other methods of data recording cannot be used.
