What is the difference between an irrational number and an integer? (PLZ HELP ME ANSWER ASAP!!!! All help is appreciated! :D)
enot [183]
So, first off it would help if you could define the terms irrational number and integer. Well, an irrational number is basically any real number that can't be expressed as a ratio of integers. They also cannot be represented by terminating or continuing decimals. And an integer is pretty much any number that cannot be written as a fraction or decimal, such as -2, 13, 257. It is not 2 and 1/2, or 4.75. Those would not be integers. Do you think you can figure out the difference?

In ΔABC, m∠B = m∠C. The angle bisector of ∠B meets AC at point H and the angle bisector of ∠C meets AB at point K. Prove that BH
solniwko [45]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

In ΔABC, m∠B = m∠C.

BH is angle B bisector, then by definition of angle bisector

∠CBH ≅ ∠HBK

m∠CBH = m∠HBK = 1/2m∠B

CK is angle C bisector, then by definition of angle bisector

∠BCK ≅ ∠KCH

m∠BCK = m∠KCH = 1/2m∠C

Since m∠B = m∠C, then

m∠CBH = m∠HBK = 1/2m∠B = 1/2m∠C = m∠BCK = m∠KCH   (*)

Consider triangles CBH and BCK. In these triangles,

  • ∠CBH ≅ ∠BCK (from equality (*));
  • ∠HCB ≅ ∠KBC, because m∠B = m∠C;
  • BC ≅CB by reflexive property.

So, triangles CBH and BCK are congruent by ASA postulate.

Congruent triangles have congruent corresponding sides, hence

BH ≅ CK.

Write the equation of the line that passes through (1, 3) and has a slope of 2 in point-slope form. A) y – 1 = 2(x – 3) B) y – 3
fomenos
So point slope form is y=mx+b where m=slope and b=y intercept so

in (x,y) form
one solution is x=1 and y=3, also slope is 2 so
m=2
subsitute
3=2(1)+b
3=2+b
subtract 2
1=b
equation is
y=2x+1

tricky answers so simplify them
A: y-1=2(x-3)
distribute
y-1=2x-6
add 1
y=2x-5
not the answer

B: y-3=2(x-1)
distribute
y-3=2x-2
add 3
y=2x+1
correct
the answer is B
