In response to the increasing weight of airline passengers, the Federal Aviation Administration in 2003 told airlines to assume
solong [7]

Answer:

the approximate probability that the total weight of the passengers exceeds 4668 pounds is 0.0089

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the central limit Theorem

z = (x - u )/Q÷ sqrt n

Where z is the z-score

x is the average weight = 4668/22 = 212.2

u is the passengers average = 194 pounds

Q is standard deviation = 36 pounds

Therefore

z= (212.2 - 194) / 36 ÷ sqrt22

= 18.2/ 36÷ 4.69

= 18.2/7.68

z=2.3698 aprx 2.37

Find the value of 2.37 z-score on the z-table to determine the approximate probability

P(z>2.37) = 0.0089 (from the z-table)

Help me, brother!!.!.!.!
alexandr1967 [171]

Slope-intercept form: y = mx + b (m is the slope, b is the y-intercept or the y value when x = 0 -->  (0, y))

To find the slope(m), you can use the slope formula and plug in 2 points:

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

(x₁ , y₁) = (0, 2)

(x₂ , y₂) = (4, 5)

m = \frac{5-2}{4-0}

m = \frac{3}{4}

[slope is also m=\frac{rise}{run}  "rise" is the number of units you go up(+ number) or down(negative number). "run" is the number of units you go to the right. If your slope for example is 2, you go up 2 units and to the right 1 unit. If your slope is -2, you go down 2 units and to the right 1 unit.]

^ you could just look at the graph and see how many units a point goes up or down and to the right to get to the next point (goes up 3, to the right 4)

y=\frac{3}{4} x+b  To find b, plug in either of the 2 points into the equaation

(0,2)

2=\frac{3}{4}(0)+b

2 = b

y = \frac{3}{4}x + 2

H=64t-32t^2 find the maximum height attained by the obiect

Check the picture below.

so if we just find its vertex, we know how many feet it went up by its y-coordinate.

\bf \textit{vertex of a vertical parabola, using coefficients} \\\\ h=\stackrel{\stackrel{a}{\downarrow }}{-32}t^2\stackrel{\stackrel{b}{\downarrow }}{+64}t\stackrel{\stackrel{c}{\downarrow }}{+0} \qquad \qquad \left(-\cfrac{ b}{2 a}~~~~ ,~~~~ c-\cfrac{ b^2}{4 a}\right) \\\\\\ \left(-\cfrac{64}{2(-32)}~~,~~0-\cfrac{64^2}{4(-32)} \right)\implies \left( \stackrel{\stackrel{\textit{how many}}{\textit{seconds}}}{1}~~,~~\stackrel{\stackrel{\textit{how many feet}}{\textit{it went up}}}{32} \right)
