Imagine you're cutting off all of the slanted sides, there would be 3. Now since there's 4 feet on one side and 9 on the other when you cut off the edges they have side which are 3 feet (the end number) and 2.5 (9-4=5/2=2.5) now since you have three pieces like this, so put 2 together and you get a shape which is 3feet by 2.5 feet. The area of this is 3*2.5 which is 7.5, cut that in half for the third piece and you get 3.25, added together that's 10.75 squared feet. Now don't forget the 3 by 4 and 3 by 5 pieces. That would be a total of 27 (3*4=12 3*5=15) 27+10.75=37.75 squared feet.

There is a tank that can fill 4 liters of water. The 2/3 of the tank has been filled with water. How much liters have the tank filled with water?

Solution of story:

We know that:

 • Tank = 4 liters
 • 2/3 x 4 = Water filled in tank

Multiply both the terms to get the answer.

Solution:

 • 2/3 x 4 liters
 • => 8/3 liters = 2 2/3 liters

Hence, 2 2/3 liters has been filled with water.

Answer:

180Pi or 565.4866776

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume formula for a cylinder is pir^2h

We know that the height is 45 and that the radius is 2 so plugging that in we get (pi)(4)(45) which gets us 180Pi or 565.4866776 (using 3.14)

Fun math question
creativ13 [48]
In an empirical trial of 100,000 triangles, about 25% of them included the center of the circle.

The probability is 25%, based on the logic that the second point together with the first define a sector of the circle in which the third point must lie if the center is to be included in the triangle. That sector cannot be more than half the circle, and is just as likely to be more than 1/4 circle as it is to be less than 1/4 circle.

5x-16y=272 y=(64-7x)/4
exis [7]

Answer:

x=16, y=-12. (16, -12).

Step-by-step explanation:

5x-16y=272

y=(64-7x)/4

------------------

4y=64-7x

4y+7x=64

5x-16y=272

---------------------

4(4y+7x)=4(64)

5x-16y=272

-----------------

16y+28x=256

5x-16y=272

------------------

33x=528

x=528/33

x=16

5(16)-16y=272

80-16y=272

16y=80-272

16y=-192

y=-192/16

y=-12
