Evaluate how successful the Marshall Plan and NATO were in stopping communist aggression/expansion in Europe during the Cold War
Andrew [12]
The Marshall Plan and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization were very successful in their attempts to stopping communist expansion in Europe. In the Marshall Plan, the US gave $13 billion worth of aid to countries in western Europe in order to help them recover from World War II and to ensure communism does not spread to these countries. All the countries helped through the Marshall Plan remained free of Soviet rule/influence.

NATO helped in stopping the spread of communism as well. This political/military alliance between the US, France, Great Britain, Italy, and other European countries ensured that the Soviet Union did not try to spread their power by force. If they tried to attack one of the nations involved in NATO, they would be starting a war with all the countries who were part of this organization. This prevented the Soviet's from trying to take over any member of NATO.

Evaluate whether Napoleon’s rule represented the fulfillment of the French Revolution or the abandonment of those principles.
Goryan [66]

Answer:

No, Napoleon's rule definitely did not represent the fulfillment of the French Revolution ideals, because the French Revolution was a liberal revolution, in the sense that it sought the establishment of a new rule where personal liberties where respected, where people were equal before the law, and where the government was accountable to the people, and served the people.

Explanation:

Napoleon on the other hand, was simply a dictator. Perhaps a very skilled and smart dictator, but a dictator nonetheless. He was not accountable to the people, and could do with the country what he pleased. He got France involved in a series of wars (the Napoleonic Wars), imposed his dictatorial rule over most of Western Europe, and caused the dead of thousands of soldiers with his disastrous decision to invade Russia.

Napoleon was like a new monarch, and the French Revolution was so contrary to the monarchy that its leaders beheaded the last French King: Louis XVI. For all these reasons, Napoleon was the opposite to what the French Revolution sought.
