Tipis are the traditional home of Plains Indians. The native Indians of the plains travel from one place to another in search of resources and food for survival. They had horses which helped them move fast from one place to another and for hunting. A tipi made out of hides of bison with using several posts as the frame. The Plains Indians also used hide of buffalo for blankets and beds. Native Indians depended on the bison for their meat, and skin for the cloth and shelter to keep them warm.  Since the beginning, the Plain Indians saw European weapons like guns and tomahawk, which were more advance than the bow and arrow of the Plain Indians. The Plains Indians were always eager to trade fur for weapons like guns to defend themselves from others.
