Multiplication, addition, subtraction
1. - Since a cube is all the same lengths on all sides you would want to find the area of one of the sides. You would do this by multiplying 3.8 by 3.8.
3.8*3.8=14.44
Since you have six faces on a cube you want to multiply this by 6.
14.44*6=86.64
So your answer for 1. is 86.64 in^2 of glass
3. Same thing as number one. Find the face of one side:
1 1/3*1 1/3 is about 1.7777
Multiply this by the six faces.
1.7777*6 is about 10.66666
So your answer for 3. is about 10.666 (repeating) in^2
4. For this one, you want to follow the surface area formula for a cylinder. Which is - A=2πrh+2πr^2
When you put all your numbers in it would look like this:
2*3.14*2*22+2*3.14*2^2
Once you do that equation you will get 301.44
So that should be your answer 301.44 cm^2
Hope this helps!
So the equation to find the sum of interior angles is , with n = number of sides. In this case, this is an octagon (8 sided polygon), so plug in 8 into the equation to solve:
The sum of the interior angles is 1080°
Regarding the first question, the scale and the fact that the graph starts at 50 and not at 0 on the vertical axis, shows a deceptive growth trend. Therefore, the creator of this graph wants the reader to conclude that "The car dealership business is expanding very quickly"
In the second question, using wider bars, different colors or an interval of 1 will not make the graphic stop being misleading. Therefore the correct option is the fourth one: Start the y axis at zero and use an interval of 5 or 10. In the attached image the same graphic is shown but with these changes made and the difference is clearly noticed.
In the third question, if The Camera Shop wants to use the measurement of the central tendency that expresses how successful they are in the sale of cameras should consider that the data present high dispersion. For example, in February the value is of 21 and in December the value is of 125. The mean is a sensitive measure to the extreme values, for that reason of all the measures of central tendency cited the mean is the one that gives a higher result and for that may be the ideal to present to management the success of sales:
mean = 63.16
interquartile range = 47.5
mode = 35
median = 59.5
