Your question is quite incomplete: who's k?

Anyway, I'm assuming that this is one of those question about variation. If x and y are in proportion, we have

y=kx \implies k=\dfrac{y}{x}=\dfrac{5.25}{14}=0.375

If x and y are in inverse proportion, we have

y=\dfrac{k}{x} \implies k=xy=5.25\cdot 14=73.5

A shop sells milk for $2.50
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

$1.83 (rounded)

Step-by-step explanation:

27% = 0.27

2.50 x 0.27 = 0.675

2.50 + 0.676 = 1.825

Round 1.825 to the nearest hundredth which gives you 1.83. So therefore, a litre of milk without tax is $1.83. Hope this helps!
