The basic concepts of socialism are as follows; the main idea is that people should live in an egalitarian society where everybody would contribute as much as he can and take as much as he needs, this would give us a society where everybody would be equally well off and nobody would have less. Everything would also be state owned - this has been a solution that happened in the past.
In my opinion, pure socialism cannot succeed but perhaps using some things from it could be very beneficial.
Jazz created a culture and a place for people (mostly blacks) to have fun and their own distinct music. Jazz made black people famous like Louis Armstrong. Jazz also was taken from many other music styles like some from Africa where it was blended to work with their new culture
The President is responsible for implementing and enforcing the laws written by Congress and, to that end, appoints the heads of the federal agencies, including the Cabinet. The Vice President is also part of the Executive Branch, ready to assume the Presidency should the need arise.
The expansion of railroads directly led to economic growth in the us because more people were able to commute to and from their workplace to their homes. Since some work opportunities before railroads were seen as too far away from home, once the railroads were created and trains were running on the tracks, the lengthy distances were shortened and people were able to look for jobs in places where they were more abundant, therefore boosting the economy.
