Answer: They need 10 tiles

Step-by-step explanation: We know each tile is 5 inches, we need to make 4 feet and 2 inches. If there is 12 inches in a foot then you can do 4 times 12 and you get 48 inches plus the 2 more inches you need and you get 50. from there you can take the 50 inches (total) and divide it by 5 ( 1 tile) and you get 10.
