A slope of -3 can be written as a fraction of -3 over 1.
In terms of rise over run, that means when we subtract 3 from y we add 1 to x.

So plot (1, 3), then go down 3 and over 1 and plot that point.
Make a line between them and you're done.

You use the point slope formula which is (y-y sub 1) = slope(x- x sub 1)
So it would be (y-3)=-3(x-1). Distribute -3 to x-1.
y-3=-3x+3. Add 3 to both sides. It will then equal y=-3x+6. First graph the y-intercept which is six then go down three over 1 because the slope is -3 which is the same -3/1. I hope this helps!

Which formula can be used to describe the sequence? f(x) = 1.2(2.5)x – 1 f(x) = 2.5(1.2)x – 1 f(x) = 1.2(2.5)x f(x) = 2.5(1.2)x
Dennis_Churaev [7]

The formula which used to describe the sequence is f(x)=1.2(2.5)ˣ⁻¹.

The given sequence is 1.2,3,7.5,18.75.

In geometric series, the ratio of two consecutive terms remains the same and this ratio is known as common ratio. a₁ is the first term of a geometric sequence and r is the common ratio, then the general term of the geometric sequence is of the form:

f(x)=a₁⋅rˣ⁻¹.

In the given sequence, a₁=1.2, a₂=3, a₃=7.5 and a₄=18.75.

Find the common ratio by

r=(aₙ₊₁)÷aₙ

r=a₂÷a₁

r=3÷1.2

r=2.5

Substitute the values in the general formula of geometric sequence.

f(x)=(1.2)(2.5)ˣ⁻¹

Hence, the formula which used to describe the sequence 1.2,3,7.5,18.75 is f(x)=(1.2)(2.5)ˣ⁻¹.

Find the area of the square above using its net below. 5
Alborosie

Answer:

150 units

Step-by-step explanation:

first, find 1 square

5 x 5 = 25

there are 6 total squares so 25 x 6 = 150

So the surface area should be 150 units

A study on how circus ticket pricing influences ticket sales shows that there is an average increase of 4 people for every $3 de
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

3. R(x) = 25,500 -720x -12x²

Explanation:

Starting from 340 tickets, the number of tickets increases by 4 for each unit change in x. Hence, tickets sold will be (340 +4x).

Starting from $75, price per ticket decreases by $3 for each unit change in x. Hence ticket price is (75 -3x).

Revenue from ticket sales is the product of the number of tickets and the price at which they are sold:

... R(x) = (340 +4x)·(75 -3x)

... R(x) = 25,500 -720x -12x² . . . . . matches the 3rd choice
