Let
x---------> the original amount

we know that
a percent increase of 12% of x is
 x*[100%+12%]/100------> x*[112]/100----> x*1.12

1.016x
x*[100%+1.6%]/100------> x*[101.6%]/100---> 1.016x
so
1.016x-------> represent a percent increase of 1.6% of x

so

the answer is
1.016x is not a percent increase greater than 12%

Using the feasible region below, determine which x and y values will maximize the profit, P, in the equation P = 40x + 55y * 1 p
Kay [80]

Answer:

B (300, 400)

Step-by-step explanation:

The profit maximization will be when the sum of the products will be greater. The maximum profit will be when x is 300 and y is 400. If we put in the equation :

P = 40x + 55 y

A - When x = 0 , y = 500

P = [40 * 0] + [55 * 500]

P = 27500

B -

When x = 300 , y = 400

P = [40 * 300] + [55 * 400]

P = 34000

C -

When x = 380 , y = 200

P = [40 * 380] + [55 * 200]

P = 26200

D -

When x = 400 , y = 0

P = [40 * 400] + [55 * 400]

P = 16000

The owner of a grocery store wants to mix two kinds of candy together to make 15 lb that he can sell for $5.00 per lb. He wants
jeyben [28]

Answer:

9lb chocolate candies

6lb sugar candies

Step-by-step explanation:

Yes, I also happen to go to RSM. (6b)

Equation: 7x+2(15-x)=5*15

Solve:

7x+(2)(15)+(2)(−x)=(5)(15)

7x+30+(−2x)=75

(7x+(−2x))+(30)=75

5x+30=75

5x=45

x=9lb chocolate candies

Now, calculate the sugar candies.

15-9=6lb sugar candies
