X+5 = -2x + 12
-5 -5
x = -2x + 7
+2x +2x
3x = 7
x = 2 1/3

y = x + 5
y = 2 1/3 + 5
y = 7 1/3

Area of a rectangle=length x width

You have two rectangles:

First rectangle (the biggest):
length=9 yd
width=12 yd-6 yd=6 yd

Area of the biggest rectangle=(9 yd)(6 yd)=54 yd²

Second rectangle (the smallest)
length=6 yd
width=3 yd

Area of the smallest rectangle=(6 yd)(3 yd)=18 yd²

Area of the ballroom=area of the biggest rectangle + area of the smallest rectangle.

area of the ballroom=54 yd² +18 yd²=72 yd²

Sin(60-theta)sin(60+theta)
ehidna [41]

Step-by-step explanation:

\sin(60 -  \theta)  \sin(60 +  \theta)  \\  =  \{ \sin(60)  \cos( \theta)  -  \sin( \theta)   \cos(60)  \} \{ \sin(60)  \cos( \theta)  +  \cos(60)  \sin( \theta)  \} \\  =  \{ \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}  \cos( \theta)  -  \frac{1}{2}  \sin( \theta)  \} \{ \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}  \cos( \theta)  +  \frac{1}{2}  \sin( \theta)  \} \\  \\

from difference of two squares:

{ \boxed{(a - b)(a + b) = ( {a}^{2} -  {b}^{2} ) }}

therefore:

=  \{ {( \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}) }^{2}  { \cos }^{2}  \theta \} -  \{ {( \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2} )}^{2}  { \sin }^{2}  \theta \} \\  \\  =  \frac{3}{4}  { \cos }^{2}  \theta -  \frac{3}{4}  { \sin}^{2}  \theta

factorise out ¾ :

=  \frac{3}{4} ( { \cos }^{2}  \theta  -  { \sin}^{2}   \theta) \\  \\  = { \boxed{ \frac{3}{4}  \cos(2 \theta) }}

Which reason justifies Statement 5?
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

The answer is A. Substitution

Step-by-step explanation:

Looking at the previous proofs, you can see that:

∠Y≅∠4

∠Z≅∠6

∠X + ∠4 + ∠6 = 180°

Statement 5 then replaces ∠4 and ∠6 with ∠Y and ∠Z, respectively. Replacing it means that it was substituted with the GIVEN values by the previous statements.

The best answer is the Substitution.

Evaluate s(t)=∫t−[infinity]||r′(u)||du for the bernoulli spiral r(t)=⟨etcos(8t),etsin(8t)⟩. It is convenient to take −[infinity]
sveta [45]

\vec r(t)=\langle e^t\cos8t,e^t\sin8t\rangle

\|\vec r'(t)\|=\sqrt{(e^t(\cos8t-8\sin8t))^2+(e^t(\sin8t+8\cos8t))^2}=e^t\sqrt{(\cos8t-8\sin8t)^2+(\sin8t+8\cos8t)^2}

\implies\|\vec r'(t)\|=e^t\sqrt{65}

Then

s(t)=\displaystyle\sqrt{65}\int_{-\infty}^te^u\,\mathrm du=\sqrt{65}e^t

How do I find the value of x for a triangle
siniylev [52]

Answer:

a+b+c=180

Step-by-step explanation:

If you already have the first 2 values, add them together and subtract that number from 180. The total of all angles added together should always equal 180.
