A body's hormone levels are very, very important to keep in check. A lot of different factors can affect hormone levels, such as age, weight, social status, gender, emotional well being. There are some health conditions such as hypothyroidism that can cause hormones to become unbalanced also. Women are more susceptible to hormone imbalances due to her menstrual cycle.
