The lengths of the sides of an 5m by 5m square are increased by 3m. The area of the square has increased by what percent? Please

Well you first have to find the area of the first square so do 5 times 5 which equals 25. Then you have to add 3 to 5 which is 8, so each side equals 8 meters. Next time 8 by 8 which equals 64, then do 64-25 which equals 39. Then put the change over original so do 39 divided by 25 which equals your percent of change 1.56 or 156% increase.
